Omnis patented (US # 5781846) aluminum flux cored wire is AA 4047 aluminum braze alloy, cored with non-corrosive Nocolok® flux, and is used for joining aluminum and aluminum alloys.
AA 4047 aluminum is the eutectic aluminum/silicon composition that melts over the narrow temperature range of 1070°F-1080°F (577°C to 582°C). Normal brazing temperature is 1080°F-1120°F (582° to 604°C).
Nocolok® flux and its residues are non-hygroscopic and non-corrosive, eliminating post braze cleaning.
Omnis aluminum flux cored wire replaces the use of flux and AA 4047 braze wire. Cleanliness of assembly area is enhanced due to the minimum amount of flux use. Omnis aluminum flux cored wire is also a substitute where corrosive flux alloy paste is used for torch applications. Wastewater treatment is eliminated.
Omni also offers aluminum flux cored wire with Omnis KX200 flux, a modified non-corrosive flux formula that allows for better brazing of aluminum magnesium alloys such as 6061 and 6063.
Omnis aluminum flux cored wire is commonly used on automatic brazing machines with wire feed. It can be used in atmospheric furnace, torch or induction brazing processes for joining a wide variety of aluminum alloys.
Omni offers a range of flux to metal ratios in our flux cored wire. Combined with our range of wire diameters, we can provide you with the optimum amount of flux and metal for your joint.
Aluminum flux cored wire is available as coils, spools, custom cut to length rods, or formed into rings. Flux cored braze wire, for wire feed braze systems is available on standard 10 pound, 12" OD X 4" wide spools. Standard wire diameters are .090", .076",.063", and .047". |
