Disclaimer

Omni’s aluminum flux cored rings are made from our patented (US #5781846) non-corrosive flux cored wire, cored with Nocolok® flux, or Omni’s KX200 flux.

Aluminum flux cored rings are available in a wide array of shapes, with the same range of diameters and range of flux to metal ratios of our flux cored wire

Omni’s aluminum flux cored rings replace the use of flux and AA 4047 braze rings. Cleanliness of assembly area is enhanced due to the minimum amount of flux use. Omni’s aluminum flux cored rings are also a substitute where corrosive flux alloy paste is used for torch applications. Wastewater treatment is eliminated.

AA 4047 aluminum is the eutectic aluminum/silicon composition that melts over the narrow temperature range of 1070°F-1080°F (577°C to 582°C). Normal brazing temperature is 1080°F-1120°F (582° to 604°C).

Nocolok® flux and its residues are non-hygroscopic and non-corrosive, eliminating post braze cleaning.

Omni also offers aluminum flux cored rings with Omni’s KX200 flux, a modified non-corrosive flux formula that allows for better brazing of aluminum magnesium alloys such as 6061 and 6063.

Omni’s aluminum flux cored rings can be used in atmospheric furnace, torch or induction brazing processes for joining a wide variety of aluminum alloys.

Omni offers a range of flux to metal ratios in our flux cored rings. Combined with our range of wire diameters, we can provide you with the optimum amount of flux and metal for your joint.

RING OPTIONS

Wire Diameter - Available in .047", .063", .076", and .090", for the correct amount of filler metal and flux for your joint.

Flux Content - Omni can customize rings to have the correct flux content for your joint, to give enough flux to braze properly, but control the amount of excess flux to give a clean joint after brazing.

Shapes - Standard ring, oval ring, hexagonal ring, clip, or many custom shapes.

Band Rings - Wire can be flattened before formed into a ring, to make a band ring, keeping filler metal closer to the joint.

Chevron Cut - V-cut at each end to prevent interlocking of rings.

Strike Flux Coating - A thin strike coat of non-corrosive flux on the outside of the ring. Works especially well with induction brazing.

Multi-Turn Rings - To give enough filler metal for your joint.
