All in one kit to make aluminum repairs. Includes ZnAl 80-20 braze filler metal wire and Omni’s CX-60 non-corrosive flux paste in a jar with a brush on applicator included. Braze wire available in 1/16" and 3/32" diameters.

ZnAl 80-20 ZINC ALUMINUM BRAZE FILLER METAL
ZnAl 80-20 zinc/aluminum alloy filler metal can be used in torch, induction and furnace brazing processes for joining a wide variety of aluminum alloys. The temperature range 780 — 890°F (415°C — 475°C) makes ZnAl 80-20 ideal for temperature sensitive applications. When used with CX-60 Flux, its residues are non-hygroscopic and non-corrosive. No post braze cleaning operations are required. The strength of a braze joint is very dependent on the joint designs. ZnAl 80-20 filler metal has a tensile strength of 40,000 psi minimum, shear strength of 30,000 psi minimum and an elongation of 2%.

CX-60 NON CORROSIVE FLUX PASTE
CX-60 Flux Paste is a stable paste mixture of non-corrosive complex aluminum fluoride salts and a proprietary binder, which provides adhesion and non-settling properties. The paste can be used in atmosphere, furnace, torch or induction brazing processes for joining a wide variety of aluminum alloys using low temperature filler alloys of zinc/aluminum that perform between 780 — 900°F. The flux and its residues are non-hygroscopic and non-corrosive.

Instructions for using Omni Aluminum Repair Kit
The aluminum material to be repaired must be clean of paint, oil, grease and dirt. If possible, brush the joint area with a stainless steel wire brush to remove heavy oxides and water stains. Apply flux paste to the joint area with the brush applicator. Heat the joint area with the torch, allowing the paste to dry and then melt. Feed the braze wire into the joint until the filler metal melts, flows and forms the joint. Allow to cool, no cleaning necessary.
