Omni supplies a wide variety of brazing and soldering flux pastes. We premix brazing or soldering flux with proprietary binders that provide adhesion and non-settling properties. Omni flux pastes are adjusted to a stable dispensing viscosity for all automatic and hand dispensers.

STANDARD FLUX TYPES

Nocolok® - Non-corrosive flux paste that can be used in controlled atmosphere furnace, torch, or induction brazing processes for joining a wide variety of aluminum alloys. No post braze cleaning operations are required. Nocolok® flux paste and its residues are non-hygroscopic and non-corrosive.

KX200 - Non-corrosive flux paste that can be used in controlled atmosphere furnace, torch, or induction brazing processes for joining a wide variety of aluminum alloys. KX200 allows for better brazing of aluminum magnesium alloys such as 6061 and 6063 than standard Nocolok® flux. No post braze cleaning operations are required. KX200 flux paste and its residues are non-hygroscopic and non-corrosive.

Omni 330A - Highly active flux paste for brazing aluminum and aluminum based alloys. Omni 330A is used with braze filler metal in torch, induction and furnace applications. Flux residues are completely soluble in hot water. Omni 330 meets AMS 3412 for aluminum brazing flux.

Omni 660 - Highly active flux paste, designed to be used in flame soldering of aluminum tube/socket joints with 98%Zn-2%Al filler metal. The flux is the classic zinc chloride reaction flux that has been used by the air conditioning industry, both automotive and residential, for over forty years. Because no methyl or ethyl alcohol is used, the paste greatly reduces the dermatology problems of previous flux slurries.

CX-60 - Non-corrosive flux paste for brazing a wide variety of aluminum alloys using low temperature Zn-Al filler metals that perform between 780 — 9000F. The flux is a stable mixture of complex aluminum fluoride salts and its residues are non-hygroscopic and non-corrosive. The flux paste can be used in atmosphere, furnace, torch, or induction brazing processes.

SBF21D - Dispensable brazing flux is for use with silver or copper-phosphorus braze alloys to join a number of different alloys. SBF21D flux is extremely fluid and active during brazing to promote excellent capillary flow and a clean braze. The paste is water soluble, so it can be washed, removed, or revived with ordinary water. SBF21D flux paste has a low corrosivity, yielding close to a neutral pH, and does not attract moisture after brazing to greatly reduce corrosive activity from entrapped residues.

For tougher applications, such as carbide brazing, we can add boron to the flux for superior results.

Omni SBF21D flux conforms to:
ANSI/AWS A5.31-92, AWS FB3-A, and AMS 3410

Omni SBF21D braze applications include:
  • Stainless steel
  • Carbide
  • Iron
  • Steel
  • Copper
  • Brass
  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Monel alloys
  • Nickel

Omni Technologies will blend special mixes to meet each customers unique brazing operation. In addition to our standard fluxes, we can make flux pastes out of custom fluxes or binders to meet your needs. Pastes are available in pails, jars, squeeze bottles, syringes, or custom containers.
